DON'T PANIC!!! Relax, we're here to help. | ![]() |
A FEW TIPS TO HELP YOU... When choosing your venue please make sure it is suitable for the type of party you are holding. Don't pick a room that hold 300 if you have only invited 20 guests. Your venue will need suitable parking for unloading/loading and storage of our vehicle whilst the party is in progress. Our disco/games parties are very lively and you will need plenty of room for the games and dancing but if the room is too large the children will tend to wander. You will need to book the venue for at least 45 minutes prior to your guests arrival and 30 minutes after the party (to give Peejays time to set up and pack away). The venue will require at least one twin 13 amp fused socket. CHILDRENS PARTIES... Children's parties can be great fun. Here are a few tips to help you when planning your party. Make sure you plan well ahead and send your invites out as early as you can, remember there may be two or three birthdays in your childs class at the same time. Book your venue and entertainment in good time, many entertainers and venues can be booked up well in advance. Fancy dress parties can be fun, but remember many costumes worn at fancy dress parties are impractical and may well be dangerous to play and dance in. Those in helmets or masks may not be able to see or eat properly. Some costumes may restrict movement. Avoid costumes with sharp accessories like sharp sticks, bows and arrows, fake knives and wands. On the day of the party, arrive in plenty of time to decorate the inside and outside of the venue, that will set the mood and guide your guests to the right room! Make sure you have some way of lighting the candles on the birthday cake (Peejays will usually have a lighter at hand). Provide plenty of drinks but keep the food as simple as possile. The children just need something to keep them going. They will not want to sit for too long, they will want to get back to the FUN!!! For our two hour disco/karaoke party the food should served half way through. It gives the children time to re-charge their batteries. Save the noisy give-aways until after; they could ruin your party as the children will want to blow them during the show. If possible try to avoid mixing the ages too much. We can cater for a mixed group but remember an 11 year old is lots bigger than a 5 year old.
